Going Through The Tribulation?

Jesus spoke to his disciples about the end of the world and said there would be great Tribulation of which the world has never seen. There is a great divide among Christians as to whether Christians will go through this Tribulation or be taken in a rapture before it begins.

The word “tribulation” appears 21 times in the KJV21 version.

Due to the importance of this matter, rather than depend on someone’s opinion or theology read these 21 verses. Let the Word of God speak for itself and be the Final Authority!

1. Matthew 13:21

yet hath he not root in himself, but endureth for a while. For when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the Word, by and by he loses faith.

2. Matthew 24:21

For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

3. Matthew 24:29

“Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken, (30) Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and all the tribes of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man arriving on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. (31) And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet blast, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

4. Mark 13:24

“But in those days, after that tribulation, ‘the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, (25) the stars will be falling from heaven, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken. (26) Then everyone will see the Son of Man arriving in the clouds with great power and glory. (27) Then he will send angels and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of heaven.

5. John 16:33

These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation, but be of good cheer: I have overcome the world.”

6. Acts 14:22

confirming the souls of the disciples and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the Kingdom of God.

7. Romans 2:9

tribulation and anguish upon every soul of man who doeth evil, upon the Jew first and also upon the Gentile;

8. Romans 5:3

And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also, knowing that tribulation worketh patience;

9. Romans 8:35

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

13. Ephesians 3:13

Therefore, I desire that ye faint not at my tribulations for you, which are your glory.

14. 1 Thessalonians 3:4

For verily, when we were with you, we told you beforehand that we should suffer tribulation, even as it came to pass, as ye know.

15. 2 Thessalonians 1:4

so that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all persecutions and tribulations that ye endure,

16. 2 Thessalonians 1:6

For it is a righteous thing with God to recompense with tribulation those who trouble you;

17. Revelation 1:9

I, John, who also am your brother and companion in tribulation and in the Kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was on the isle that is called Patmos, for the Word of God and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.

I know thy works and tribulation and poverty (but thou art rich), and I know the blasphemy of them that say they are Jews and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.

19 Revelation 2:10

Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer. Behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried, and ye shall have tribulation ten days. Be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of Life.

20. Revelation 2:22

Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of their deeds.

21. Revelation 7:14

And I said unto him, “Sir, thou knowest.” And he said to me, “These are they that came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
